One Great Bowling Pin Trophy!!!!

Just like a walk a thon we are taking sponsors for our fan-tab-u-lous game.

$1.00 or more per pin bowled or a flat rate donation/sponsor
**Flat rates are better and easier for donating/sponsorhip**
Each dollar raised will go towards the development of programs at each organization!

It has been a funny roller coaster ride all summer, and now that school is back in session, I am encouraged to know that it's going to be another roller coaster ride!

I have watched my youngest son, create different things on the computer that are unique for his age. I have also seen him come up with different business ideas that he has also shut down, because there was no support from the would be customers. (LOL)

I have watched my 16 year old son fill out job application after job application with no answer AT ALL, and get discouraged. So know, I am thinking, what do I do next for both of them? Well, the older one wants to make music, which is fine for me, just don't let me hear that darn rap with any curse words in it.

My younger son wants to do it all and help everybody. I think both are going to be great CEO kids. There is no excuse for any of my children to NOT be successful in the plans God has for them. It's just easier when they want it too! (LOL)

We're Always Trying (Still Smiling 2007)

Women are the foundation of many families. We have to make it regardless. When our "rib", not our back bone, when our rib is pushed and pulled and weakened, we can only lean on the Lord. Men, saved or not, don't have anything to be sorry about or take issue with; their wives and mothers have always taken care of business.

Women are the foundation of many families. When the kids look a mess, people look to the mother. What isn't she doing right to keep these kids together. It's the foundation of the mom that stabilizes the kids. What is her foundation?

If she is rooted in the Lord, she is still smiling. If she is rooted in the Lord, that "rib" will mend. If she is rooted in the Lord, her prayers will be answered. Still smiling. A woman of God's foundation is rooted in prayer, and fasting. Life style changes according to God's word.

But, no ma'am it's not that easy. A woman whose foundation was not solid, that is getting solid is going to have times when the enemy will challenge her. Forget the man that is in the house.....not trying to stand on the same foundation. The enemy has him already. No, it's not that easy to keep smiling. It's not easy to love and love and not get anything back. To prepare and pray and not see any results. Still smiling, the foundation was never stable.

How do we get the foundation stable? Some women get tired of always being so strong. Always trying to be in the right place and doing the right things. God knows about the crying in the night and smiling in the day. No, sir we are not being phony....we are encouraging all those women around us to get their foundation straight, their rib mended....Praise God, when you know to lean on the Father.

No way, it's not that easy. At 3:00 in the morning, women wash clothes, clean basements, and ponder why the children are so disruptive...why the house is so "unkempt"? Women are left alone to figure it all out. At 3:00 in the morning...just in case someone wakes.....mothers, wives, are still smiling...

Pearly whites show through the night to comfort a child or let the husband know all is well.....but what if its not? The woman that is crying out "I am tired of being a loser"...........a solid foundation brings peace in the storm and a woman my realize that she isn't a loser, she is suffering for a short while. Weeping may endure............still smiling in the morning.

God I said....what is wrong? People of the world are human. They are only worried about their own feelings. Some things can't be changed and some things can't be altered. Only the Lord can move them into the right place, but only they can make the decision to stay in that place.

Women, we are not the problem. The enemy has hold of people in our lives and those people are complacent with where they are. It's not out fault, women, that we are the foundation of the family. We can't waver, we cant fall, we can't quit. We are the Pro. 31 woman, that God made to be all know all show all and smile.

Encourage the young women...as best you can. In these last days, the women, are the ones guiding light....no matter what goes on in the world....we are

A Mother's Story about her Son

I have a networking buddy, Yvette Newman, who is awesome in business and relationships! Below is her story about her wonderfully artistic and business minded son!

Most of you all might not know me but I am a proud mother. My son Arnie Newman is very talented in art. He started out very young just drawing on paper. Then one day we started watching a tv show called Papa’s Land where an old man drew pictures. I use to take a vcr tape and record it and go step by step for my son to draw.

As time moved on he went to school won 1st place in drug awareness poster contest. He even was seen at the fairs. When he reached high school He took all art classes. His talent was seen even more. Now as a high school grad he is taking his drawings to make a living. He is starting out slow with t-shirts, bibs and dog bandanas. He wishes to continue in his art studies as they have a art studio he can attend but the cost is 35.00 each training.

Hoping with his sales of his items he can more forward in his dream.

There are times when those in business or are trying to build businesses are at a crossroad and need encouragement. We are at that road at 4, My Kids, and are totally struggling to see the light. It is hard to try to help others when you can't see the forest for the trees.

But, we have an ax! We are pressing forward towards that vision.

My reasoning behind this blog is to help others stay on track. Never get discouraged or swayed in your goals. God has you just as He has us. No matter what people say about you or your business, expect to have haters. When God gives you a vision you have to keep working towards it.

Dollar-Thon

Over the past few months, we have signed clients for our organization. Yet, this is not about 4, My Kids; this is about the families we are trying to serve. We want so much to clear the debt of each family and provide scholarships to all of the students wanting to go to school, but as a non-profit..we need money. $$$ Funding helps us to get far.

We are sponsoring our First Annual Dollar-Thon! What is that? Donate a dollar or more to us in the next seven days to help our families. WHY? We are going into the high schools before the end of this school year to talk to the guidance counselors for the junior class. We want to let them know that every graduating senior that signs with us, will receive a $100 book scholarship for the 2010 college year.

We have two families that have over $10,000 in debt that are living in the dark, on the brink of foreclosure and at the point of losing their jobs! We have a need to fill and right now we know we can fill it.

The dollar-thon is a simple way to help another w/o breaking your bank. We know that all are struggling in this current economy. We know that the ones that are truly in need know there is a God that will help, but they have a hard time believing past their circumstances.

We only have seven days to put a dent in this cause for these families. Just a dent, and We am encouraging all of you that read these words to look for a dollar (pocket change) or more to help these families.

Educational planning

We also will provide classes on staying out of debt, obtaining residual income, and using faith-based thinking to build a business. We are ready to take people out of this recession. My Mom Logic

I woke up one morning and realized my kids are growing up. I did not know, and still do not know, what I am going to do when all of my children are eighteen and out of the house.

I started my businesses because of my children and my growing family. I wanted to be at home with them and available for them 24/7. I encouraged myself to continue succeeding because they were my everything. Now, my mom logic, of 10 years past, has come to a halt. What do I do?

I think I will start crying once a day! Then I will start looking at life through foggy glasses. I mean, my entire adult life has been about my children. However good or bad they have been, however successful or failing at life, my days and nights have been about them. Logically, it is now my turn.

My purpose for being is not just about my children. It is about the morals they learn and share with their friends and the people they encounter. My purpose in life is to be a spiritual light to all that I encounter as well; it started with my children. It ends with me, but I need a formula; a plan to continue being successful after they all leave the nest.

The Mom Logical plan consists of being a finisher first. I am tying up the loose ends in establishing the 4, My Kids organization. These loose ends will able me to help others as I have been for so many years. The loose ends consist of finishing the business plan and obtaining a building. Once this is accomplished, I can hire my children as volunteers to provide the service to others that I provided them.

The next step in the growth of my mom logic is leaving the 9-5. The 9-5 is hindering my progress in the above and the other businesses I own. My faith should be so strong that I am walking away from this 9-5 in the next few months; my faith IS so strong that I am preparing the way first.

The last step in my mom logic is to let go and let them all BE! That means, cutting the purse strings and wiping the kids behind the ears, and walking away. I have shown my children in actions and in words that I will not always be there. There are going to be times when they have to figure it out for themselves. The purpose of growth is to learn and move on; I cannot hinder their growth or my own.

The logical steps of a mom like me is a compilation of faith and patience. Over the past 19 1/2 years (the age of my eldest child), I have been challenged with three different characters in my house. I have learned that, logically, I cannot change who they are (if I do not like them), I can only help lead the way. I believe, in my heart, that I have done the best I can. My mom logic says I can let them go knowing I have instilled faith, strong morals, individuality, and self-esteem.

I am the CEO and Motivational Speaker for 4, My Kids, Inc. I am using the wisdom God has given me to empower others to MOVE in their lives. Sometimes a blog is not enough to empower others. Sometimes you need to be IN THEIR FACE to help them see. Our testimonies are brief when written; they are illuminated by the emotions that are felt within them. Those emotions are most expressed through speech.

It has been a year since 4, My Kids began to establish a web presence. This non-profit organization has hit many bumps in the road to open its doors, but the gate IS opened!

The importance of this organization it to obtain the clients that really need the service. Debt elimination is important to all people in this day. This new year, the world has shown us that without a plan B, you cannot do anything but lay prostrate. Our organization with the help of the Lord will give people the option of a way out. Debt elimination, as well as furthering education, is important to the planning and visions of the people in our communities.

Looking for Motivation for OUR Children

As we start out the new year, it is time to get an understand of where our children are and where they are not.

I have discovered that my kids want an increase in life and in spirit, but they won't share that with people that don't feel the same as they do. Now, will they continue to want it, I believe so, but it may also dwindle.

There will be adults in their lives that may discourage their physical, mental, and educational achievements. There will be children in their lives that will do the same. We have to stay a step ahead for our children in many ways.

Primarily in prayer. You may not want to hear this, but prayer is the only thing that will help our children and our friends...okay, and our family. (Yet, we are talking about kids so I will stay on point).

When people say prayer helps it really does. Especially if you are honest with the Lord, obdient with the Lord and willing to hand your kids over..right to the LORD!

Sometimes our motivation comes from what our children are doing. If they can make it, in what seems to be a dead end world, we can too. If they can take a little of what we are saying and use it to their advantage. Praise the LORD!

4, My Kids, is an entity established to help families get motivation. This motivation will help the family as a whole live in this world. The organization is still in the creative and planning processes, but as we move forth we are taking families with us.

In these last days, we, as parents, have to figure out our part in the lives of our children. The ones that are still impressionable by others and the adult children we have. As a woman of God, I am responsible for the good and bad I dish out.

Proverbs 14:1 The wise woman builds her house but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. The house includes and ARE the children that are under that roof. We expect so much of them, but we are responsible for what we expect. We cannot ask them to not drink and drive if we do (I'm talking to the world). We cannot expect them to not do drugs, if we smoke cigarettes, marijuana and other things in front of them. We cannot expect them to be patient and control their anger if we cannot.

Have you looked at your child today and have seen any part of you that makes you cringe? If so, change you to help them. The days of 'do as I say and not as I do' is over. This is it for the Christian and the worldly parent. You cannot give up, but you will need help. Get on your knees and ask God for direction for YOUR house. Your child is depending on you.

Free Spa Day for Women in Milwaukee

4, My Kids is pulling the reigns again. This time, it is with spiritual direction and discernment!

I am offering a free spa day for 20 women in the Milwaukee area; the spirit told me to! Free is good and free sheds light on others that aren't usually shed in day to day life.

I am so happy to do this for the women that were chosen. I may have another day in December; we will see as the spirit moves.

Platinum Students

We are looking to help all students attend college. These students are platinum students whether they have a 4.0 or 2.0 grade point average.

The events leading up to the grand ball will help award each participant a scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Still in the planning stages, this event will prove to be beneficial to all involved, including the sponsors and the community. We pray all who want to take part in this event, wil,l and share it with their friends.

The criteria, thus far, to be a Platinum Student for this event is to be a member of a church, express the financial need to attend college and grade point average less than 4.0.

Following up from the post from yesterday, I am excited to share some news with you. 4, My Kids, Inc is starting a "Jar Savings Account" through C.K.Q. Gifts

This "Jar Savings Account" will allow any person to donate an in kind donation to 4, My Kids, Inc to help establish any and all programs. This non-profit organization is still in the process of making an impact in the Wisconsin area, but impact just the same.

The concept behind the "Jar Savings Account" goes hand in hand with the original concept for starting 4MK,inc...giving the way the Lord intended. Giving is from the heart and soul...a soul inhabited by the Holy Spirit.

Even in the tough economic times we are in, .25 cents a day to help a family who can't help themselves, right now ,is a great incentive for them to get going.

No, this is not a joke.

What would you do with .25 cents right now? I would put it in my purse until I had another quarter for soda at work. I might give it to the little girl down the street so she can have a bag of chips. Or I might start a "cabinet" savings account. No, it is still not a joke.

I was just reading TD Jakes' book Reposition Yourself: Living Life without Limits. In this particular chapter, Bishop Jakes reminded us of how our grandmothers had a savings account on a shelf in the cabinet in the kitchen. Most of you may be familiar with that type of banking. With whatever spare change, left over grocery money, etc., Granny would put it in a jar for a rainy day emergency.

Some of us have rainy days and emergencies every hour of every day. For me it is a coca-cola, for you it might be advertising cost or gas money. Either way, if you had .25 cents, everyday, to put in a "cabinet" savings account, would you? If so, what would keep you from going into that savings account for the next 30 days? What would you do with the "savings" you have obtained after 30 days? (I'm reaching for a goal here... which will be in my next post)

Let's start here:
1. Get a jar: coffee, mason, whatever
2. Start saving .25 cents or more a day
3. Come back here on June 28th and post your comments about what you have saved.
4. Tell us what you decided to do with the savings.

The point of this is to see if we can save the spare change we spend on needless items. Can we take .25 cents and make it valuable in 30 days? This is still not a joke and it can be applied to any and everybody, and any and every business.

This is where the finances meet the reality of life. You never know where your money is going until you put it in something you can see. So start with a jar!

Taking the kids by the horn!

Children are a blessing in our lives and need to be considered and treated as such.
They are the helpers of our futures. They are IT ladies and gentlemen, what are you doing to help them grow?

If you are not doing anything, take the kid by the horn and start something new! (end of the school year is approaching)

1. Purchase educational books.
**have them work on them daily, either in the morning or in the night.

2. Take creative field trips.
** either walks in a park you have never been to
** museums in another city
** or city hall (take a trip somewhere that provides education and creativity of the mind)

3. Give them projects to do daily.
**younger children can make cards for any body, any theme
**younger children can start a scrap book to be finished by the end of summer doing one page at a time.
**older kids can join clubs (especially investment clubs, etc)

4. Have them watch a news channel on cable they have never watched before.
**ask them to give a report about what they heard is going on in the world.

5. Have them watch the history channel.
**give a written report about what they learned about history

6. Have them read two scriptures
**start with Proverbs and Psalms to help them pray properly and obtain wisdom...

Kids will want to go outside, go to the neighborhood boys and girls clubs or whatever; it is important to keep their minds active positively so that they don't lose their minds when they return to school in the fall!

Being Encouraged

I have learned that my businesses are a ministry unto someone else. It's not about what I can get and what I want, it IS about someone else and how I can help them. I am staying encouraged through my tests and trials.

Being encouraged is not just for personal and spiritual fullfillment, it is to be a testimony for others. Being encouraged means walking the spiritual plan God has for you. Sometimes you have to step back and see where you are to understand your place RIGHT NOW.

Ask yourself, where are you right now where you need encouragement? Are you in a place where you can't even see your way out?
I have compiled a few scriptures and personal insights that you can use to help you see where you are:

Judges 20:22
But the men of Isreal encouraged one another and again took up their positions where they had stationed themselves the first day.

>>Sometimes where you were when you got depressed, discouraged, and SAD, is where you need to get back to, and pick yourself up.

2 Chronicles 32:6-7
He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate and encouraged them with these words:"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraide or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him." {Eph.6:13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the dayof evils comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

>>Remember, no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
>>Stand strong in the power that God has given you and look up not out.

Acts 9: 31
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. it was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers living in the fear of the Lord.
>>Pray often, and sometimes long.
>>Get direction from the spirit to get back to the place of encouragement.

When you are back on track to encouraging yourself, you can encourage others. Our trials and our triumphs are not so life threatening that we can't look to the Lord and obtain peace, balance, and spiritual connection!

Helping Families and Building Marriages

Okay, you may wonder what building marriages has to do with debt elimination and scholarships for teens; it has a lot to do with "cause and effect".

If the effects of your failing marriage and lack of money for your teen to go to college is because of debt, you have a cause and effect that needs to be addressed.

Married people have to focus their primary concerns on each other and their spouse's happiness. They need to focus on redeveloping the love in their lives to see the outcome of everything else: finances being the major reason couples don't get along.

Communication on all levels of life are important to families. It's a strengthening that will help them get it all together. EVERYTHING!

Teens are looking to their parents as the answer for their financial woes when it comes to going to college. I need moms and dads to see that they are responsible for understanding their teens emotional and financial needs. Not just their physical needs until their reach eighteen.

Helping families and building marriages is a thought that comes to mind for this organization. We can pay off debts, we can provide scholarships, but if we don't get to the root of the problem, everything will reoccur again and again.

4, My Kids, Inc is planning an event entitled Parents Day for June, 2008 that will allow all families to come together and enjoy one another. All families to just be and find out where they are in living and loving. This parents day is to allow children to show appreciation and communication to their parents. It will be a spiritual journey for all.

Families and teens will register for future services in debt elimination and college scholarship programs.

I wanted to stop in and share with you the blessings that have been bestowed upon 4, My Kids, Inc.

We had our first fund raiser here in Milwaukee last Friday, April 11th. We sold dinners to the corporate world and had a great "turn out". We will sell dinners again and we will hold other fund raisers that will make people aware of our organization.

It is hard to see success through the eyes of the families that we are trying to help but we are encouraged by the support we are obtaining. Being in business, whether for profit or non-profit, is always a struggle. It's a struggle when there is a need and one business or individual is trying to meet that need.

I am working diligently to fund raise for my organization. It's been hard! The networks I am on at offering any assistance except verbal motivation. At this point, what I see, is a selfish complacency in business and in moral ethics.

Why do I say this?

God has taken me to a place in my finances where I have been totally broke. This is recent. I have had to suffer the experiences to see how to help others and how to help them effectively. I have been ridiculed for business choices in attempting to create this organization. Supporting my family has gone from a joint effort to my feeling single again. I say all this to point out that it takes a test and trial of one person to fill the need of another. If I didn't have my faith, I would not be able to see past the circumstances to the future on the other side.

I am not one to boast about problems to get sympathy, or boast about the blessings to put myself on a pedestal. I am one that is taking the lead (From Pastor Ced Reynolds) to help create simple awareness about the financial needs of people in our communities. I am only one person taking one step forward, out of the bondage of the world, to help others. Doing exactly what the bible tells me.

Creating Families

Having babies does not create families. It starts with birth, continues with teaching, discipline, and love. How we raise our children, how we love our spouses, how we encourage each other is how create our families.

This is where the break down comes from when looking at the results of our lives. There are choices we make that may KILL us in the long run. Basically, as parents, we have to look at what our responsibility is in the results of our kids. Let's start with a little command that God gave us in the new testament:

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

It's not about our learned experiences (my experiences in life are a testimony in them selves), but it's about what we have learned from the Lord to teach us to do better. I can't tell you what it was like to live in slavery, or to be judged by my sex,etc.,because that isn't my experience in what the Lord has taught me in HIS word. I can share history, I can't share that experience of the past. I can share that people hurt me along the way and they will continue to hurt me, but I can't say that YOU, my child, my husband, my mother or my father, will go through the same heartache as I have or will go through, because my experience is spiritual in the natural, not the logical.

When creating families, we have to create ties that are bound by the spiritual connection with the Lord, not the heritage of men. Some of that heritage my wound us in the now more so than help us. Some of that heritage causes us to hate who we see around us without getting to know who they are.

In my young age, I am attempting to "re" create my family to see God's glory in my life. Oh its hard! It's a struggle and it's painful to go through, but the pain right now means blessings in the end. Creating families means giving direction from where you are right now, not where you were back then!

The motivation behinds 4, My Kids, INC comes from the mistakes I made as teenagar and as a parent.

The bible tells me a lot, but I didn't pay attention, so now I am trying to get myself together. At some point, I had to realize that I made mistakes, and prayerfully, I can correct those mistakes and help others.

I don't know how often you read the bible or if you do at all, that's not my concern. My hope (and concern) is that you will help develop these programs as you see fit. It has to be a want in your heart; a desire to see everyone succeed at life as you want to.

It's a biblical concept; we can't leave the poor behind. Especially if we have an abundance, we have to help...it's not just a concep it's a command.

Helping if you want to just means you are giving not to get back,but to help others. You don't need a spotlight on you to give (at least I hope not),but you did need to have it in your heart to give.

Not about me.........just about the KIDS

Families as a whole are struggling to do what is right for their children. Single moms are the ones that started the phrase "It's not about me, just my kids".

When I was single, I did everything for my kids. I started my businesses because of my 3 wonders of the world. I thought marrying a wonderful family man would benefit my children too, and in the long run, it did. Logically, at the time, it wasn't about ME, ever..it was about my children. Now that I have four with my extended family, I am pushing towards a goal that will help them well after I am gone. You can read about my testimony later.

In my organization, we are praying that families are helped by the sweat from OUR backs for their children. It's not about paying off their credit cards or getting their household bills current and that will be all; it's about changing the way these families look at their finances and how they take care of them.

I too have been in a situation where I let my finances get the best of me and let the WORLD talk about my endeavours as a business woman, but I serve a God that will make me humble myself to feel the pain, personally, of the families I am trying to help. I can't help someone if I can't experience where there have been.

I have also been a situation where my child had the want and the need to go to college but the grade point and community service jobs weren't enough to get scholarship. You see, even as a business owner, I didn't have enough money to send my eldest child off to school. We are still struggling.

It's not important that my organization is pat on the back about the the help given to families. It's important the see God in us for what we are doing. This organization is being built on God's priniciples and his word.

So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts its mouth

He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done

If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.

I or my organization, will not close our eyes or ears to the cry of those that are poor in spirit, financially distraught, and looking for a way out.
It's not about ME, just about the KIDS!

Getting the Word Out

Functioning Financially

Families are having tough times right now. Whether they are millionaires or living pay check to pay check. Hey, single parents on welfare are having troubles too. (Yes, they are still people too)

Families that are struggling financially are still trying to make it with the grace of God. These families are looking up for a way out. I believe that the organization that I am creating will help them with that way out. No, they were not looking up to me, but the Lord put in on my heart to create this program and move forward in my venture.

Can I say that when I open my mouth about my businesses, it's not about me, it's about the people that I can help? So this non-profit organization is no different. I have put my foot in a place to help others in my community the same way people have helped me. I pray that THEY see my vision as God has. Although, I don't call this a spiritual ministry, it will be spiritually enlightening for all those involved.

Functionally Financially is what every family wants to do. They want to make more than ends meet. Yet, in our "consumer, high buying, high flying" spending we are living beyond our means. All families, all nationalities, rich or poor. Most of these families, even living paycheck to paycheck are drowning in debt. Debt! No matter how you look at it! So, let's look at it:

Reaching Out

Children today are not getting the full education they need to make it in the world. The high school curriculum is changing to eliminte the "extra" classes needed to build creative minds and voices!

4,My Kids, Inc is being established to create scholarships for teens that will help them go to college and "get" more out of life. Whether a teen wants to start a business, be a doctor, lawyer or nurse, we are creating an opportunity for a child to do that right now!

It takes time to develop the programs or criteria needed to get a scholarship. With creating programs we are looking for monies! I prayer is that someone will see the need for everyone to get an education despite what they have been through or where they live.

In developing these programs, we are creating jobs. The jobs are needed in our area to keep people motivated about life and the crime down. Spiritually, teenagers need support that is more than average. They need the type of support that lets them know they are somebody. Words without action is nothing....(see the bible about faith w/o works)

We are reaching out to people in the world that will just find a way to want to give. Just give $1, $5, to help the organization to get started and move forward to help the kids.
